Runners take part in TCS London Marathon 2024 for ADAPT Prembabies

Two runners completed the 2024 TCS London Marathon in aid of ADAPT Prembabies, raising almost £3000 .

Rashmi Patel, one of ADAPT’s previous Family Support Workers, and Amanda Sleath, a mother that the charity supported in the past, both ran in the ‘masses’ race on Sunday 21st April 2024.

Rashmi completed the 26.2 mile course in 7hr 45 sec whilst Amanda ran it in an incredible 5hr 51mins.

ADAPT extends a huge congratulations and thank you to both ladies. Their fundraising will help us to continue our work for families who need us.

The ballot to take part in the 2025 London Marathon is open until Friday 26th April. You can apply here.

Since the first London Marathon in 1981, runners in the race have raised more than £830 million for charity, making it the largest annual one-day fundraising event in the world.

 

ADAPT is a charity that provides support for families with premature and poorly babies on Leicester’s Neonatal Units. They are a small local charity with no government funding and rely purely on people generosity and hard work to continue their valuable work.
